3 March, the Launch Night
This is the most exciting day for me since I joined Adamsdown project.
When I entered the classroom where we usually meet to have the practical session, my eyes were immediately caught by those white t-shirts with Adamsdownhere.co.uk printed on. Everybody of the team has got a t-shirt and I felt quite happy that it somehow united the whole team. I could sense in the atmosphere we shared the same passion and excitement about this important day for our project.
The frenetic preparation took some hours. Arielle, Nick and James set up all the audio systems, cables and placed the tables.

Before the launch ceremony was coming, all the laptops were ready for guests to check out the site and sign in the guest book.
We have also prepared a lot of drinks and snacks for our guests, take a look:

What’smore, we also invited a band from the youth hub to light up the passion of the night!

Amazingly, I realised how talented our team members are, Jo, one of the interactive people, took her violin to join the band live.

Actually it was a rather cold rainy day, interactive people Hannah and Chris went to Clifton street with camera to do some filming, and they came back with completely wet trousers and shoes as if they directly climbed out of swimming pool. However, how dedicated they are!
It was still drizzling when the lauch night was going on, and the rain drops rolled down the big glass screen over the Atrium building with glittering reflection from the light outside. I took a picture of this beautiful star effect, featuring James at the same time:)

The band presented their first song for the night.

At the end of the ceremony, I helped clear up and felt a little tired after a whole day full of excitement and expectation. But it was so blessing to see smiles on everybody’s face, tonight was a big success! I’m honoured to be part of this excellent team. Although being an international student, sometimes I encounter difficulties that may not happen to my co-workers, I believe there is a will, there is a way and I will definitely endeavour to try my best to contribute to this site to make it better and better!
